Allegory of a Renaissance, 2025

In March of 2025 I did a residency at the Gushul Studio in Blairmore, Alberta. I worked on a large drawing while there, in order to release some daemons of these epic times. Some of my imagic ‘thinking’ is included in the video section of  the website. ‘Allegory of a Renaissance’ was made to hold all my hopes for a rebirth and positive change to come out of the chaotic and current dismantling of so many systems and beliefs.

After putting two weeks of love and careful conscious intention into its creation and into the various entities represented in it.I released the energies represented in the work back to the universe by setting it to fire as an offering; the negative energies to be composted by the earth and the positive energies so they can help increase the light on the planet in these dark and chaotic times.

It is so hard to witness this world sometimes but I try to hold all of the bravery and compassionate efforts to justice and humaniy in balance. In freeing that; transmuting those energies through fire; I hope to make my small offering to the light in these dark times.
